Eight New Kaboodle Apprentices Join the Team

Kaboodle’s industry-first apprenticeship scheme has been so successful since we launched it just under two years ago, that we have just had a second round of apprentices begin their training with us.

Seven White Goods Installation Apprentices and one Business Apprentice have joined Kaboodle during June – twice the apprenticeship intake of the first year!

Kaboodle designed and launched our own apprenticeship programme in 2023, alongside a local college near our Stevenage depot, after discovering a gap in the industry and a need for well-trained and qualified appliance installers.

We welcomed three apprentice installers and one business admin apprentice into the business in the first year. All four completed their apprenticeships, and three now work in full-time employment for Kaboodle and the fourth has launched a career in boiler servicing.

Kaboodle MD Matthew Pitt said: “The objective was to create a scheme that, not only equips young people with the skills to make a great living from white goods installation, but to provide a broad range of trade competencies that would open doors in any number of construction-based career paths.

“As an industry, we all must take responsibility for nurturing our installers of the future. Kaboodle take great pride in leading the charge, to produce some of the UK’s finest appliance installers, across new build construction, and domestic home installation sectors.”
